The natural horse shoe that the Sundays River forms around the town can clearly be seen. The Sunday's river was known as the river of grass and today it still has more grass than water.

Paragliding enthusiasts from all over the world come to share the thermals of the vast Karoo skies with the resident Black Eagles and they take-off close to this area.
